Lies of P: Overture: All Weapons & Legion Arms Locations

Lies of P: Overture: All Weapons & Legion Arms Locations

One of the best aspects of pretty much any game DLC is new weapons to try out. Yeah, you had all your favorite pointy implements in the base game, but now there’s new stuff to swing with wild abandon, often with weird and wild abilities. If it doesn’t make the game more fun, it’ll sure as heck make it more entertaining. Such is the case for the various new weapons introduced in Lies of P’s Overture DLC.

Overture adds six new weapons that can be disassembled and reassembled, both with each other and the base game weapons, as well as four unique weapons that can’t be disassembled and two new Legion Arms. The majority of these weapons, plus the materials for the new Legion Arms, are found in chests scattered around the DLC’s areas, while several weapons are given to you as rewards for defeating Overture’s major bosses. It’s a whole new world of heavy, dangerous objects, so let’s track ‘em all down.

Major spoilers for Lies of P: Overture ahead!

Royal Horn Bow Location

The first new weapon you can obtain near the start of the Overture DLC is also one of the most unique weapons in the game, the Royal Horn Bow. You’ll find this long-ranged implement in the Hall of Adventure in Kratt Zoo. From the Hall of Adventure Stargazer, take the stairs on the right and follow the path around the bend and through the fossil exhibit.

Pass through the hallway and drop into the room with the zebra exhibit, then climb the stairs up and around to the right. Follow the path through another exhibit hallway, and you’ll end up on an isolated bit of balcony with a chest containing the Royal Horn Bow. It’s technically classified as a dagger, but it’s the only dedicated ranged weapon in the whole game, and a right hoot to use.

Lorenzini Bolt Location

Lies of P Overture Lorenzini Bolt

The first weapon you can disassemble in the DLC, the Lorenzini Bolt, can also be found in Kratt Zoo, specifically in the Jungle Zone. From the Jungle Zone Walkway Stargazer, follow the main path until you come to the tree covered in birdhouses. To the left of that tree is a little drop onto the frozen river beneath the broken bridge.

Watch your back, as a big snowball is going to come rolling down, knocking enemies away and smashing the wall of ice on the other side of the frozen river. Behind that smashed wall, you’ll find a chest with the Lorenzini Bolt; a blade and handle that can deliver short, explosive bursts.

Maniac’s Pinwheel Location

Lies of P Overture Maniac's Pinwheel

If you’re looking for a fun time, you’ll get it from the Maniac’s Pinwheel, located in the Carnival Garden. From the area’s central Stargazer, cross the bridge to the attraction with the sign that reads “Clown Circus.” You’ll need to pay the Puppet at the table a Carnival Coin to enter, which you can find on the ground near the small clock tower near the area’s entrance or by defeating the Parade Master.

Within the attraction, you’ll have to complete a simple mini-game, smacking a certain number of dolls that pop up out of the floor before time runs out. Complete the mini-game, and your prize will be the Maniac’s Pinwheel. This wacky wheel automatically revs up when you swing it or run with it, dealing more damage the faster it spins.

Puppet Of The Future’s Welder Location

Lies of P Overture Puppet of the Future's Welder

This retro-futuristic soldering iron can be found in the Zelator Underground Facility, a lengthy hike from the first Stargazer in the area. From the Stargazer, enter the corridor on your right. Follow the path down the ramps and take the first door on your right, then head past the entrance into the lower floor into another corridor.

Follow the corridor around the bend, past the shortcut door, until you eventually come to a small room with a ladder leading down on your right. Take the ladder down, enter the pipe into the large sewer room, and cross over to the other side into a passage with a low ceiling.

Follow this passage until you reach a ramp leading up and into a cell block, then enter the first open cell door on your right. Take the ladder in the cell leading up and exit onto the upper floor of the cell block. Cross a bridge, then another bridge, then turn right and enter the cell at the end of the line. In this cell, drop into the hole in the floor, then exit the cell via the door and climb the ladder in front of you. Enter the open cell on your left and drop into another hole on the floor.

As soon as you drop through this hole, an enemy will break through the wall. Enter through the broken wall, and you’ll finally find the chest containing the Puppet of the Future’s Welder. Yeesh.

La Vendetta Location

Lies of P Overture La Vendetta

While you’re bumming around the Zelator Underground Facility, keep an eye out for another weapon, La Vendetta, which you can find after defeating Veronique in the Coolant Control Room. After disabling the coolant, return to the area’s first Stargazer and drop into the large pit that was previously inaccessible due to the freezing coolant.

Enter the pipe on your right and follow the ensuing path of pipes, dropping down at one point into a room with a small staircase. Head into the room and past the guards into a larger room full of shelves and beds. Proceed straight through this room and down the stairs to find another room full of tanks and a Rolling Carcass. Defeat the Rolling Carcass to open the door on the far side, where you’ll find La Vendetta in a chest. This thing may be slow and heavy, but it hits like a freight train.

Arche’s Guardian Location

Lies of P Overture Arche's Guardian

One of my personal favorite DLC weapons, the electrified Arche’s Guardian, can be found in the Ergo Mining Site. From the Ergo Mining Site Stargazer, follow the path around the large cavern with a tall pillar in the middle. Just stick to the critical path until you come across a wooden lift that will ferry you across a long gap.

Ride the lift to the other side, then take a left and head up the small ramp. On your left, you’ll see a couple of ledges with a chest on some scaffolding at the bottom. Crack it open, and there’s Arche’s Guardian, and all its wonderful lightning-launching functions.

Silent Evangelist’s Mace Location

Lies of P Overture Silent Evangelist's Mace

The last regular weapon you can get in the Overture DLC is the Silent Evangelist’s mace, which can be found amongst the frozen ships, specifically near the Shipwreck Interior Stargazer. From there, take the flooded passage on your right and follow it until you climb and ramp and exit the ship.

Follow the icy path until you reach another shipwreck, entering from the bottom, and walk up the ramp. Go through this passage and take the ladder at the end all the way up to reach the deck of the ship, then make your way across to the front. Right at the bow of the ship, you’ll find the chest containing the Silent Evangelist’s Mace, a massive implement that drools acid as you swing it.

Genius’s Legion Plugs Locations

Lies of P Overture Genius Legion Plug 1

The Overture DLC adds two new Legion Arms to your available options: Cataclysm, a massive arm-mounted shotgun, and Icarus, which launches multiple spinning boomerang blades. Both of these arms can be crafted from a Venigni Craft Machine, but unlike the base game arms, you’ll need special Genius’s Legion Plus to build them. There are two available in the DLC, enough to get both arms.

The first Genius’s Legion Plug can be found near the Jungle Zone Walkway Stargazer. Follow the main path until you come to the large, open area where the Elephant Carcass is shambling around. Defeat that tall drink of water, and you’ll receive the Plug.

Lies of P Overture Genius Legion Plug 2

The second Genius’s Legion Plug is located near the Ergo Mining Site Stargazer. Drop down from the ledge and follow the ramp on the right. Continue around the bend of the large area until you come to a little spot with a waterfall, out of which an enemy will jump. Open the safe that the enemy revealed, and there’s your second Plug.

Overture Boss Weapons

Holding the Pale Knight in Lies of P Overture

As with the main game, the major bosses in Lies of P Overture each yield special Ergo that can be traded to particular NPCs like Klaus for either unique weapons or accessories. Assuming you go for the weapons, and I wouldn’t blame you if you did because they’re cool, here’s what you can get.

For defeating Markiona, Puppeteer of Death, you’ll get the Macabre Puppeteer’s Ergo, which you can trade for the Death Talons. This pair of Wolverine-like claws allows you to perform exceptionally quick combo slashing attacks.

For defeating the Anguished Guardian of the Ruins, you’ll get the Tortured Guardian’s Ergo, which you can trade for the Pale Knight. This thing is basically just a gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII, able to fire short-ranged blasts right in front of you.

Defeating the DLC’s final boss, Arlecchino the Blood Artist, won’t give you an Ergo, instead just immediately awarding you Monad’s Rose Sword. This lovely blade is the same one used by Lea, and with it, you can perform her incredible area-slashing attack.
