Grab this lightweight wireless mouse for 59% off

SteelSeries’ Aerox 3 wireless gaming mouse is perfect if you’re looking for a stripped-down lightweight mouse — so long as you don’t mind the holes — and it’s currently just $49.22 at Amazon (down 59% from its retail price of $119.99).

The Aerox 3 Wireless is a 68g wireless gaming mouse with a perforated chassis — so it’s not great if you have trypophobia. The interior parts are shielded and have an IP54 rating, so you don’t have to worry too much about dust or liquid messing with the mouse (though you obviously shouldn’t run it through a wash cycle). It features both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, and offers up to 200 hours of battery life with the lighting off.

We haven’t reviewed this exact model, but you can take a look at our review of the wired SteelSeries Aerox 3 here.

Corsair’s newest Scimitar Elite SE Wireless mouse is already 36% off

Corsair’s latest version of its MMO/MOBA mouse, the Scimitar Elite SE Wireless, just came out in May, but it’s already been discounted to $89.99 on Amazon for Prime Day — that’s 36% off the retail price of $139.99.

The Scimitar Elite SE Wireless is a wireless gaming mouse with 16 programmable buttons — 12 of which are located on the mouse’s adjustable side panel. It’s designed for MMO and MOBA players, so it’s not particularly lightweight or speedy, but it’s got an ergonomically-contoured shape and comes in both black and white color schemes. It sports the brand’s Marksman S optical sensor, which has a maximum resolution of 33,000 DPI and a maximum speed of 750 IPS, and can handle up to 50 G’s of acceleration.

It features both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity (as well as wired connectivity via USB-C), and gets up to 120 hours of battery life with the lighting turned off.

Razer’s Basilisk V3 Pro wireless gaming mouse is 44% off — lowest price ever

Razer Basilisk V3 Pro

It’s still a great time to pick up an all-purpose gaming mouse — Razer’s Basilisk V3 Pro is currently on sale for $89 at Amazon (was $159.99). This wireless gaming mouse features an ergonomic, contoured right-handed shape, 11 programmable buttons, and a dual-mode tilt wheel (though, unlike the tilt wheel on the Logitech G502 X Plus, the Basilisk V3 Pro’s is software- and not hardware-based). It sports Razer’s Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which has a maximum resolution of 30,000 DPI and a maximum speed of 750 IPS, and can handle up to 70 G’s of force.

While there’s a newer version of the Basilisk V3 Pro out — the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, which features Razer’s newest FocusPro 35K optical sensor — this is still a fantastic deal. The mouse features tri-mode connectivity (2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired via USB-C), up to 90 hours of battery life, and supports up to an 8,000 Hz wireless polling rate via Razer’s HyperPolling Wireless Dongle (sold separately). It’s on the larger side, but it’s still a very comfortable mouse, with textured, grippy sides, a well-placed buttons, and tactile, clicky optical switches.

This comfortable, lightweight Logitech headset is close to its lowest price ever

Logitech G735

Logitech’s G735 wireless gaming headset isn’t the only lightweight white wireless headset on the market, but it is exceptionally comfortable and very pretty. The G735 is part of Logitech’s Aurora line, which launched in 2022 at a premium price — the G735 retailed for $229 at launch and currently retails for $259.99, but it’s currently on sale for just $129.99 at Amazon.

The G735 is a wireless gaming headset with 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired (aux) connectivity. It features simultaneous dual wireless connections, which means you can listen to and mix audio input from both a 2.4GHz wireless and a Bluetooth source at the same time. It also comes with a detachable boom mic and features replaceable earpads (Logitech sells different colors, for those who want to mix it up). It’s an extremely lightweight headset, weighing just 9.6 ounces (273g), and offers up to 56 hours of battery life with the lighting turned off. Inside, it sports 40mm dynamic drivers with a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000 Hz.

This wired, over-ear gaming headset features a flexible but durable steel headband and aluminum forks, leatherette-covered memory foam earpads (also comes with velour-covered replacement earpads), and a detachable boom microphone. Our favorite budget microphone is just $43 for Prime Day

Logitech Yeti Orb

A standalone USB microphone makes a huge difference in how you sound over voice chats, and Logitech’s Yeti Orb will make you sound especially good. This standalone USB gaming microphone with a design that’s reminiscent of the infamous Blue Yeti Snowball (now owned by Logitech) is our current favorite budget pick — and it’s just $43.19 at Amazon right now.

The Logitech G Yeti Orb is a simple, easy to use condenser microphone with a frequency response range of 70 – 20,000 Hz. It features a cardioid polar pattern with a side-address orientation, and records at a 24-bit / 48 kHz sample rate / bit depth. In our testing, it performed very well for its price range, making vocals sound full and warm and keeping pops at bay.

Extra case and motherboard standoff screws are something you probably don’t think you need… until you need them. If you’re a PC builder, you know how hard it is to keep track of all the screws between upgrades (and even… you’re building). Prime Day is a great time to pick up a PC parts kit, such as this 400-piece kit from Scartink, which is currently just $5.87 at Amazon.

Yes, it’s not the biggest discount, but these kits aren’t very expensive to begin with. This kit includes 95 HDD screws (regular and fixed), 30 high-strength chassis screws, 25 chassis fan screws, 30 standoff screws, 10 hand-twist chassis screws, 50 M2 screws, 50 flat Phillips head screws, 50 SSD screws, and 70 mainboard insulation gaskets, as well as a small screwdriver. And it’s less than $6.

Razer’s Viper V2 Pro HyperSpeed Wireless gaming mouse is 47% off

Razer Viper V2 Pro

If you’re looking for a lightweight, speedy, performance-oriented gaming mouse, Razer’s Viper V2 Pro HyperSpeed is still a solid performer — and you can grab it for just $79.99 at Amazon right now. That’s nearly 50% off its current retail price, and is the lowest we’ve seen it at (though we’ve seen it this low before).

The Viper V2 Pro HyperSpeed isn’t the most recent mouse in the Viper lineup, but it’s still a solid performer: it features Razer’s Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which is smooth and responsive and features a maximum resolution of 30,000 DPI and a maximum speed of 750 IPS. The mouse gets up to 90 hours of battery life and has a symmetrical form factor with a smooth, matte shell. It has tactile, clicky optical switches and a nicely tactile scroll wheel, and it comes with optional grip tape in the box.

Pick up some USB-C to USB-C charging cables on the cheap

Prime Day is a great time to pick up some extra cables for charging all your peripherals (and other devices), and you can pick up this three-pack of USB-C to USB-C cables for just $7.97 on Amazon right now, which is 27% off the list price of $10.99.

These 60W braided, 6-foot long USB-C cables work for both charging and data transfer.

Organize your cables with these colorful reusable cable labels

It’s hard to figure out what you’re unplugging when you’re behind your PC (and, if you’re like me, under your desk). That’s why you need cable labels — and while you can make your own with paper and tape, these reusable color-coded labels are much more convenient (and they look better). You can grab this pack of 30 labels for just $11.99 at Amazon, down 40% from the MSRP of $19.99, and still cheaper than we usually see them for at around $15.

The labels feature an easy-to-write-on surface (though, that part isn’t reusable) and a Velcro closure so you can move and replace them whenever you need to. They come in a pack of 10 different colors (three labels in each color) and you can also grab them in different shapes, such as circles, ovals, and speech bubbles.

For as little as $15, you can say goodbye to your clunky laptop power brick forever

One of the best things about USB making its way into pretty much every laptop for the last several years is that, unless you have a gaming laptop, you can charge on the go without the bulky power brick that most manufacturers still ship with their laptops. And many gaming laptops will also charger over USB-C, just not at full power, so you can’t charge and game at the same time.

I’ve used several small GaN chargers over the years, at home and while traveling, and a few of my favorites are on sale for Prime Day. Just note that not all of these models include a fast-charge USB cable, so you may need to buy one of those as well, if you don’t already have one.

I know what you’re thinking: XSufr? Really? Do I want to trust my laptop and potentially my life to a no-name brand that sounds like it’s trying to inflict pain? That’s fair. All I can say is that I’ve used this charger several times in the last six months and never had an issue. If you want more peace of mind, consider the next charger.

Lots of people haven’t heard of Baseus either, but it’s a quickly rising competitor to brands like Anker, and I’ve been using this as my main laptop charger for about 10 months now with no issues and no complaints. It would be nice if it had a second USB-C port for my phone, though. And that brings me to the third option.

This $11 100W flat charging cable is basically built for gaming handhelds, but I like it for other uses, too

Baseus MVP 3 flat-top USB-C charging cable

We’ve all had handheld devices conk out while we’d still prefer to be using them, but it’s no fun holding a device with a big cable poking out of the top, bottom, or side. Baseus’ 100W charging cable makes that experience a little bit easier and a lot more comfortable, with its flat-topped, angled USB-C port, flat braided cable, and 100W, 5A charging capabilities.

Available in both 3.3-foot and 6.6-foot lengths, it makes charging and gaming (or just scrolling on your phone) more comfortable. The shorter model is for charging off a battery pack, but I’d opt for the 6.6-foot model (which costs $4 more) if you’re going to use the cable from a charger plugged into a wall. I also like this cable for charging my laptop on cramped flights and commutes, and its flat nature makes it easy to find in my cable drawer when I need it.

The large top of the USB-C plug will block adjacent ports or vents on some gaming handhelds, though, so it may not be ideal for your particular use case. Consider that before buying. Also, as with most charging-specific cables, this one isn’t great for data, as it’s capped at slow USB 2.0 speeds.

Banish wires, hide mess, gain clarity

I’ve recently moved house and my first thought for the new office was “I need to work on my cable management”, seriously it was!

I love a messy desk, it shows the thought process of a hundred projects and it makes me feel happy. But I also don’t want to trash my new home. I have some pride! So how can I have all my 3D printers, PCs, lights, audio / video equipment etc but minimize the clutter?
I needed some help and these three products did indeed help me.

We kick off with the ubiquitous cable / cord management kits. These kits come with adhesive holders for all manner of wires. Some clamp down, others grip using friction. A few more lock the cable / wire in place. There are also some connectors for cable ties, wire wrapping and sleeves to group wires together so they look less messy.

Cable ties are great but the problem is that they are disposable. We have to cut them loose when we need to move or remove a cable. Instead of these, I use reusable cable ties and Amazon has a load on sale for Prime Day.

These hook and loop cable ties will hold up to six inch thicknesses of cables and we get a pack of 60 to tidy up our lives!

Running cables around the perimeter of the office, I want them to be invisible, but accessible, and these conduits are just the thing!

This kit contains six, 15.7 inch lengths that are self-adhesive and can be used on walls, under desks and behind cabinets.

This tiny magnetic, USB-charging flashlight is great for PC building and other everyday tasks – and it’s on sale for just $14

Olight mini magnetic flashlight

I picked up the OLIGHT IMINI 2 mini flashlight a few months ago on impulse, because it looked well designed and cost around $20, but now it’s down to just below $14, and I’m tempted to pick up a couple as gifts. The simplicity of its design and its built-in USB-A plug for charging makes it fun to use – just pull the back off and it turns on, and the magnet lets you easily mount it anywhere you need a little extra light, like inside a steel PC case while you’re fiddling with fan or RGB wires or looking for that screw you dropped.

The OLIGHT IMINI 2 is also small enough for your keychain, is designed to live with your keys, and includes two silicone covers for the USB port and a little carabiner clip. But the flashlight portion is only held to the charging port via a magnet, and I feel like (for me, at least) it would fall off and get lost before too long.

It sticks to the metal support strip on a shelf near my front door, so I keep it there and frequently find myself making excuses to use it. It’s a fun little flashlight that kicks out a surprising amount of light, considering it’s about the size of a stubby pinky finger. It’s not going to replace a full-sized flashlight, but it’s very handy when you need something more fun and convenient (at least in some ways) than your smartphone’s flashlight.

With 40% off, this 64 piece electronics toolkit is an irresistible purchase

I recently wrote about the best PC tools that you can pick up during the Amazon Prime Day and it seems that this 64 piece electronics toolkit has become rather popular.

This precision kit has pretty much every tool that you could need to maintain a PC, all in a handy case.

You get a precision screwdriver with 48 different bits (slot, Phillips, Pozidrive, Petalobe, Tork, Stand-off driver, Gamebit (for Nintendo consoles), Torx / Torx security and many others. You also get spudgers and pry tools, tweezers, brush, and a magnetizer / demagnetizer for your screwdriver bits.

So whether you are building a new PC, repairing an old one, fixing a phone or taking apart an old games console, this sub $10 kit is an impulse purchase!

This charging station can juice multiple laptops and phones

Last fall, I bought this Anker charging station and it has been a game changer. Unlike many other charging towers, this one has enough juice to charge a laptop, with the top two USB-C ports emitting up to a total of 100W between them. Putting this next to my couch allows me to use my laptop without plugging in its AC adapter.

This Anker 9-in-1 charging station has a total of six USB ports, two USB-C that can provide up to 100W, two USB-C that can do up to 15W and two USB Type-A that can provide up to 12W. The top two are ideal not just for laptops but for phones that do fast charging.

In addition to the six USB ports, the Anker 9-in-1 charging station also has three, 3-prong AC outlets. So if you want to charge something else or just run a light fixture through this, you can.

Stop that sagging GPU from ruining your rig!

As GPUs get larger, they get heavier, and yes there are reinforced PCIe sockets, but nothing beats a good ol’ GPU brace support to ensure that your expensive GPU isn’t going to trace the rest of your expensive gaming rig.

There isn’t a lot to be said for this support. It uses a screw to raise/lower the support. This means it can be used in different cases. The magnetic bottom keeps it in place, and the soft head prevents damage to your GPU and annoying vibrations.

You should just buy one really, I did and my RTX 4070 remains firmly in place.

The Prime Day Build!

A processor, motherboard, and graphics card next to the Tom's Hardware Prime Day logo

Hey you, yes you… no not them, you! We built you a ready-made 1440p gaming PC using nothing but parts on sale at Amazon for Prime Day. “How did it go?” You ask? Absolutely brilliantly. We put together a 1440p beast for less than $1,600, with a 7800X3D, RTX 5070, and more. Check out the parts below, or read the full build for yourself here.

A small yet mighty cooler for your M.2 SSD now has half off the MSRP for Amazon Prime Day

Keeping your M.2 SSD cool is becoming more of a priority and there are a plethora of coolers on the market. Some passive, others active, and this cooler from Thermaltake has both to keep your SSD cool.

Designed for an M.2 2280 SSD, the Thermaltake MS-1 features a 20mm micro blower fan that spins up to 8000 RPM, blowing cool air over the heatsink. A 6mm diameter copper heat pipe pulls heat from your SSD, into the heatsink.

The heatsink isn’t obnoxious, like some other passive coolers that look like a cybernetic Sonic the Hedgehog. The drive is encased in aluminum ensuring that all of the heat is pulled from the drive as you game.
Fan noise levels are low, 16db, so there is no chance that you will hear a “whining” fan trying to cool your SSD.

Lastly, the 74 x 23 x 17.9mm form factor keeps this SSD cooler out of the way of other components, like your GPU, which is often right next to the main M.2 slot on your motherboard.

An RTX 5060 and an RTX 5070 both slling under their MSRPs with aggressive discounts at Newegg

We haven’t seen many graphics card deals from Amazon itself this Prime Day, but Newegg has a couple aggressive discounts on a pair of RTX 50-series graphics cards. As long as you’re OK getting your savings back as a Newegg gift card, you can get an RTX 5060 or an RTX 5070 for less than MSRP—a rare event in today’s graphics card market.

First up, Newegg will give you $50 back on one of Asus’ Prime GeForce RTX 5060 cards, taking it from $339.99 to an effective $289.99. This is among the lowest prices we’ve seen on an RTX 5060 card so far, and it’s a solid pick for 1080p gaming so long as you can live within its 8GB of VRAM. The RTX 5060 already has modest power requirements, so Asus’ triple-fan cooler should keep this card plenty cool and quiet.

If you have a higher-resolution, higher-refresh-rate monitor and you’re looking for a Blackwell upgrade, it’s worth checking out MSI’s Ventus 3X OC take on the GeForce RTX 5070 12GB.

The RTX 5070 brings a strong triple threat to the midrange of the GPU market: enough raster and ray-tracing performance at 1440p to natively push high-resolution monitors, plus Nvidia’s superior DLSS 4 upscaling and unique multi-frame generation capability.

This MSI Ventus card is a good catch if you can grab MSI’s own rebate and don’t mind spending $70 of Newegg bucks at some point in the future.

My favorite three-power Anker USB-C power bank is on sale for under $80 for a limited time

Given that we live in an always-connected world, it’s imperative that all our devices are charged no matter where we might be. When I’m out and about and won’t be close to a wall outlet to keep my devices topped off, I carry an Anker 737 power bank. Anker is currently selling the 737 direct from its website for $76.99, which is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the device.

The 737 features a 24,000 mAh battery that should be enough to fill an iPhone 16 Pro from 0 to 100 four times. And with 140-watt output, you can even juice up a laptop. The power bank features three outputs: one USB-A (18W) and two USB-C (up to 140W). And for people that love keeping tabs on numbers, there’s an integrated OLED panel that gives the 737’s status on battery percentage, time to empty, and power output per port.

Wi-Fi 7 might be the hottest wireless standard on the block, but there are still plenty of fast Wi-Fi 6E routers around. Even better, you can find them at great prices, including this Archer GXE75 gaming router for $139.99.

Given that this is a Wi-Fi 6E router, its wireless functionality covers 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, with up to 5400 Mbps of combined throughput. You get a single 2.5 GbE WAN/LAN port, one 1 GbE WAN/LAN port, and three 1 GbE LAN ports. There’s even a USB port to add storage to your network. As this is a gaming router, TP-Link has even infused the Archer GXE75 with RGB lighting.

Another added bonus is that the Archer GXE75 supports EasyMesh, allowing you to pair multiple supported routers into a mesh network configuration.

This deal gets even better if you have an Amazon Prime Visa Rewards card, where you’ll get back 20% cashback on your purchase.

My favorite screwsdriver for tinkering is 43% off

Hoto 25-in-1 screwdriver being used on a laptop on a wooden workbench.

Earlier in the blog, Les wrote about the Hoto Nex 01 Pro. It’s a good screwdriver! Everyone loves it! But there’s a different screwdriver that Hoto makes that holds a special place in my heart: the Hoto 25-in-1 electric screwdriver kit. If you’re opening laptops or tinkering with gadgets, it’s a must-have. It’s 43% off for Prime Day, down to $28.49.

I go to this set all the time for my laptop reviews, and often when I’m tinkering with other gadgets I own, opening battery doors on my kid’s toys, building PCs, or even tighting screws on my kitchen cabinets. For anything that needs more strength, though, the Nex 01 Pro is where it’s at.

The 25 bits include Phillips head, Torx, tri-wing, pentalobe, and more — perfect for all sorts of small gadgets. The case also has a magnetizer so you can ensure your bit won’t drop a tiny screw into the abyss.

Hoto 25-in-1 screwdriver being used on a laptop on a wooden workbench.

The screwdriver recharges over USB Type-C, which is convenient, though I wish the carrying case had a charging passthrough. That’s a nitpick, though.

You may see on Amazon that there’s a new design coming with smoother edges. That’s cool, I guess, but the company is shipping out old and new stock randomly, and everything else should be the same. I have the existing “old” design, and the ridges make sure I never drop the screwdriver.

I just bought this power tower to juice everything on my desk

PASSUS Power Tower

The humble surge protector is an often-forgotten but critical component of one’s desk setup. Unless you are just plugging in a laptop with no monitors, no docks and no powered USB hubs, you’re going to need the extra outlets that a surge protector provides.

The best kind of surge protector is a power tower which stands vertically on your desk so it doesn’t take up too much table real estate. I’m moving into a new office during the day so I just bought this Passus brand tower, which is reduced to $21 from $28.

The Passus tower has 12 AC outlets, three on each side. And what’s special here is that each side of the tower has its own on/off switch, allowing me to turn some devices off and keep others on at the same time.

I plan to have my monitors plugged into one side of the tower and to turn them off when I leave for the day by cutting their power, not using the screens’ individual power buttons. However, I will leave the side that powers my phone charger on 24/7.

This tower also has a set of five USB ports for charging USB devices. There’s four Type-A ports that do 3 watts in total, which is not very impressive but is adequate for slow charging something like my headphones. Then there’s a single USB-C PD charger for charging my phone and it outputs 18W.

The cord on the Passus tower is a full 10 feet so I can put it a few feet away from the outlet and still get use out of it. Overall, this is a great deal on a very necessary piece of equipment that everyone with a desk can use.

At least two Tom’s Hardware editors own the HOTO NEX 01 Pro screwdriver which has 33% off for Amazon Prime Day

HOTO NEX 01 Pro is one of those products that you don’t know that you need, until you are building a PC case / IKEA furniture / 3D Printer. It has great torque, looks great and it charges via USB-C. No wonder two members of the team bought one.

The kit comes with a selection of Phillips, Hex, Slot, Torx, and Pozidrive 1/4 inch bits and a stand to keep the screwdriver and bits on your desk. Torque control is via a control ring, and a rocker power button controls forward and reverse rotation.

Charging is via USB-C and from each full charge you get around 1000 screws.

I am one of the staff members who owns this screwdriver, and I’ve built many IKEA cabinets and recently built an arcade cabinet using this great screwdriver.

Cheap and Deep storage keeps getting deeper…and cheaper

We’ve been diving in deep on the Best Amazon Prime Day Hard Drive deals this year, and this deal on the 24TB Seagate BarraCuda is the epitome of ‘cheap and deep’ storage, and it is still going strong three days later.

The BarraCuda is designed for desktop HDD use, so it’s tailored to offer the fastest performance possible with a 7,200-RPM spindle speed that’s augmented by 512MB of cache. The drive also utilizes the premium Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) technology, rather than the performance-killing Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) technology found on budget drives. So you’re getting the good stuff.

Pair that with a two-year warranty, and your PC will be off to the races. Ok, maybe not the F1 races, as that’s what you use an SSD for, but you’ll certainly do well in a dump truck competition, where capacity trumps speed every time.

— Paul Alcorn

Buy these, put them in your junk drawer and in a few years time you will be the IT hero who saves the day!

Les' IT junk drawer (well, one of them)

Everyone has a drawer like this. Full of those “must have” adapters that we never really have a use for, until that one, fateful day when you need to hook up a laptop / games console / camera to a display and then you become the IT hero who saves the day!

This pack of HDMI adapters will save the day, some day!

This seven pack of adapters supports 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz. The kit features four right-angled connectors useful for connecting to screens that are flush to the wall, an HDMI coupler for when you need a little extra length between your games console and the TV which is mounted way too high above the fireplace. There are also two HDMI to mini and micro HDMI, useful for connecting cameras, Raspberry Pi and slim laptops to a display.
